Senior Portraits

Specifications for Senior Portraits

It is not too early to start thinking about senior portraits for next year's yearbook. Since seniors no longer take ID photos, the ONLY way to be included in the senior section of the yearbook is to submit your own photo to the Dakota Ridge yearbook staff by Friday, October 19, 2018.

In order to keep all senior portraits uniform, we ask that your portrait adheres to the following specifications:

  • Photos must be submitted by email or on a CD saved as a .jpg file.
  • Please make the file as high of quality as possible (2MB minimum).
  • Send all emails to Print photos will also be accepted.
  • COLOR PHOTOS ONLY. No black/white or other color-altered photos.
  • Vertical head and shoulder pose only, not horizontal. (Portrait orientation, not landscape.)
  • NO sunglasses, hats, or other unnecessary accessories other than jewelry.
  • NO filters, and NO use of any props for your yearbook pose. (i.e., No pets, cars, sports jerseys or equipment, etc.)
  • Strapless dresses and dresses with T-straps are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED because of cropping problems.
  • Close-up shots are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED because of cropping problems.
  • Backgrounds should be simple and uncluttered. Outdoor backgrounds are accepted.

You, the Dakota Ridge senior, are responsible for delivering your senior photo to the yearbook staff by Friday, October 19, 2018.

The yearbook staff reserves the right to return any unacceptable pictures if they do not meet the above specifications.
