Shadow Days

Please see this document below for the upcoming dates and registration forms. 

Dakota Ridge Shadow Days allow prospective students and a parent/guardian to experience the positive energy and academic rigor found throughout our high school. Please join us to hear about our school, ask questions, and receive a school tour. FYI-We also have a day-long Freshmen Orientation the first day of school in August so incoming Freshmen will receive a tour/info on that day as well. 

Our “DRHS Shadow Day Program” will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Thursday, November 12, 2026

Tuesday, November 17, 2026

Tuesday, December 8, 2026

Thursday, December 10, 2026

SHADOW DAY FORMAT:

8:20am - 8:30am: Parents please park in the Visitor Parking spots (Main lot on south side of building) or regular parking spots if Visitor Parking is full and come into the Main Office to check in with the front desk receptionist/campus security.  (*Parents, you will need your driver’s license to check-in!) 

8:30am - 9:10am: Families are welcomed in the Main Office and escorted to the Library for a general information meeting with Mrs. Plautz (DRHS Counselor) and Mrs. Davis (International Baccalaureate Coordinator). 

9:10am - 9:40am: Tour of the school with Mrs. Plautz and Mrs. Davis. Parents and students are welcome to leave after the tour OR students can stay for a class.

(OPTIONAL) 9:45am - 11:00am: Students interested in sitting in on a block class, will be escorted to one of their preferred classes (see Google sign-up forms above for more details). Shadowing students will be dismissed at 11:00am. Parents/guardians, please meet your student or park in the drive-thru lane at the main doors (south side) at 11:00am so your student can come out to meet you.
