Bio
Traci Nemechek has been teaching at Dakota Ridge since the 2002-03 school year. She has taught social studies courses including: Civics, Modern U.S. History, American Indian Studies, Sociology of Sports, Legal Systems I, Legal Systems II, and Criminology. Ms. Nemechek continues to grow her criminal justice program and in the Legal Systems I, Legal Systems II and Criminology courses became CTE recognized criminal justice courses, and Concurrent Enrollment classes through Arapahoe Community College. Additionally, Legal Systems 1 & 2, Criminology, and Mr. Burke's Forensics classes offer students the opportunity to join the Dakota Ridge - Criminal Justice Student Organization. This organization participates in Criminal Justice related activities and community service projects.
Before coming to Dakota Ridge, Ms. Nemechek taught at Monument Valley High School, AZ (on the Navajo Indian Reservation) and at Brush Ranch School, NM, and coached women's basketball at the University of Southern California the University of Arizona.
